Compact & Flush Mount Fan For Low Ceilings
The Low Profile is a very popular clean modern looking fan for rooms with lower ceiling heights due to its innovative flush mounting kit allowing it to sit close to the ceiling with no drop rod. It is unique as it comes with two sets of blades one 52″/132cm the other smaller at 45″/112cm. Either will fit depending on what the customer deems best at the time of fitting or the blades can be swapped at a later date. You can simply match your fan to the size of the room and there is obviously also no risk of any wobble. The total drop is just 20 cm from the ceiling to the bottom of the blades, which mean increased safety without sacrificing any air movement.
A flush mounting can look more clean and stylish than a drop rod fan and indeed some of the new DC designer fans develop this concept further such as MrKen or the Matthews Irene Hugger. The Hunter Low Profile is prewired to be able to accept a light kit (separate item).

Excellent fan, v quiet! – Helen Golddsmith (verified owner) –
We needed a powerful, quiet and attractive ceiling fan for our refurbished bedroom. We looked at many styles, trying to find something that fitted our criteria as well as being low profile as the ceiling height was not very high, before choosing this one and we are very pleased with it. It came with two sets of blades of differing length, allowing the customer to choose the best for the room, and the blades themselves had a choice of dark or light wood surfaces. We chose the dark as our fitted furniture is walnut and it complements the room really well, together with the brushed steel fitting. It’s a real statement piece in the room in fact! In terms of operating, we chose the remote control package which our electrician was able to fit with ease. The fan has three cooling speeds and on setting one, is so quiet you can barely hear it but get a good air flow. On two there’s a slight swishing and a strong air flow. On three you start to see a slight wobble and a very strong air flow – however for the size of the room I doubt we’ll use setting three very often. There is also the option to reverse the direction to circulate warm air; however we haven’;t used this yet so can’;t comment. I would really recommend spending the extra money on the remote control package as it’;s lovely to lie in bed and just press a button to get a cooling air flow! The people at hunterfan.co.uk were extremely helpful. In summary we are so happy with this fan that we’;re thinking of buying another when we refurbish our living room nest year.
