Our Trustpilot Reviews – A Word of Explanation!
We have used Trustpilot for almost 10 years and could display their ratings on our site. Over the years as they have got bigger they have tightened their terms to try to remove what was permitted under our free account, pushing us to upgrade to an expensive subscription which is too high for our small business with a relatively small number of reviews. After many years in 2025 they tried to force us to remove every reference to our content to the point where having it became invisible and useless. We tried to comply with their demands but they still showed an untrue negative libelous comment about us which they refused to remove – see below.
We have stopped using them and will use Google Reviews instead who don’t impose such draconion restrictions and who give a more accurate honest picture. Many other small companies have experienced the same treatment and there is a lot of criticism about them see their own Trustpilot 1* ratings which account for a staggering 13% of their reviews.
Also bear in mind that the paid accounts have a reputation for biased scores in the company’s favour ie negative reviews are removed. Our free account has none of this positive bias and so you can be confident that they present a true and accurate picture of our dealings with our customers and high level of customer service.

Our Current Rating
What currently shows is that we have the same genuine rating as previously of 92% with 5* reviews but now out of 589 total reviews = 540 5* reviews. They have removed our overall score and put some untrue comment about us being “misleading” which we think is in very bad spirit especially for a company that trumpets honesty and trust so much when we have been a long-standing customer.
