The Seabird Outdoor Ceiling Fan for Damp Use – With LED Light – New 2024!

The MrKen Seabird is a very popular, smaller version of the CAN fan with blades that have a slight upturn at the end.  It ticks a lot of boxes being small, powerful and with a 900 lumen LED light.  The blades are 36″/91cm that are small for a ceiling fan but much bigger than those you find on a wall fan or 46″/117cm. The small size is perfect for smaller rooms or corridors where you want a strong airflow without the annoying noise and low airflow of a wall fan.

This outdoor version needs to be used in a covered location but is splash and damp proof having ABS plastic blades and zinc galvanised undercoat with power-coated steel finish for the metal.  It is suitable for condos,  verandas and outside restaurants or for damp conservatories where a lot of condensation would cause problems for a wooden bladed fan. It is also perfect for small rooms where a larger fan would simply look over powering.

The 36″ Seabird gives an amazing 7,100 m3/h of airflow and the 46″ gives 7,420 m3/h. It uses second generation (2NDC) ultra-low energy DC technology to deliver airflow with a great efficiency of 274/w of power used. This fan’s blades are flatter and simpler than the Ken Wood 3D as they are made from ABS in order to give the outdoor damp use durability. The body and motor however, are identical. The Seabird is also available in a smaller 30″/76cm and 42″/107cm sizes but without the LED light or outdoor specification.

Notes:

• The Seabird is the name given to the smaller bladed version of the CAN fan model.
• Also available as a lower-cost AC version in 42″ but with a wall control, no LED light kit version and a 40% lower airflow since the DCtype motor ceiling fans are far more energy efficient.
