The Hunter Original is the newly designed and updated Classic Original which is the flagship most powerful fan in Hunter’s range and moves the most air effortlessly from it’s solid motor and cast-iron construction. It embodies the spirit of Hunter’s 130 year history of being based in Memphis in the deep south of the United States. Generations of American history are wrapped up in this range starting with the Civil War in 1886 through the roaring 1920’s to the great recession of the 1930’s ending with the civil rights movement of the 1960’s. This model will conjure up that original determined spirit of cast-iron perseverance in the face of adversity.
In the age of disposability, few products have earned the right to be called classics. Meticulously reproduced from the archived Hunter design blueprints, the New Original revives the vintage fan in its purest form. A celebration of all things beautiful and well-built, it’s an ideal homage to the power and persistence of Hunter’s cast-iron workhorse. It uses a unique oil-bath lubrication system that has kept the Classic Original fans working flawlessly for decades with an efficient and powerful airflow (the highest and strongest in the Hunter range. There is one story of a customer using this fan for over 50 years).
These fans are used in some of Europe’s best high-end restaurants including the famous French cuisine Balthazar in Covent Garden (shown to right), London and their branch in Dublin.
