MrKen Hugger Conversion Kit

This kit enables you to convert most of your MrKen ceiling fan models ie Solid Wood, Slim, CAN and Seabird from a drop-rod version into a slimline hugger version, so that the fan can be closer to the ceiling.  The minimum recommended height for a ceiling fan is 7’6″ or 2.4m so if your ceiling is lower than this then the hugger version may still fit even though a drop-rod version is placing the blades too low .  The kit will reduce the drop of the ceiling fan by 16cm.

The kit includes:

• Hugger extension can – item 1.
• Plastic separation washer – item 3.
• Ceiling mounting plate – item 2
• Screw pack – item 4.

How to Install the Hugger Kit

The Hugger extension can is easily attached to the existing motor can by inverting it and using 3 screws.   The mounting plate replaces the existing hanging bracket and ball used in the drop rod version.  The connection to the motor wires is remade and the Hugger can then slots into the mounting plate and is held by 3 screws.
