Reasons to buy a remote control for your ceiling fan

If you’ve just bought a new fan, you’ll want to make the most out of your purchase, however having to stand up and pull a cord every time you want to alter the speed or turn it on is in no way ideal. Remote controls give the added luxury of being able to change settings without breaking the flow of what you are currently doing, whether this is working at a computer, eating dinner or simply watching the television.
Controllers also give the benefit of everything you might want to change being in one place. For example, if you have bought a Seville Ceiling Fan and want to turn both the fan and light on to different settings, you would need to pull both cords separately multiple times and then watch to see if the correct settings are taking effect. With a remote control however, it is as easy as pushing a button in order to achieve the desired result and as all controllers have screens or specific buttons for each setting, you can instantly see if the fan has been set right. Dimming the lights is another useful feature that controllers allow for as decrements and increments of brightness are applied when the lighting button is pressed multiple times, meaning you can set the tone of the room just how you like it.

The advanced remote control comes with many different easy to use settings.

Hunter has a wide variety of controllers with abilities ranging from the simple changing of blade speed to remotes that enable temperature controlled activity of the fan.  They use either radio frequency or infra red when communicating with the fan and multiple DIP switches can be used when multiple fans and receivers are set up. Our Advanced Remote Control (currently in the sale with 40% off) offers an array of speed functions, lighting controls, temperature programs, DIP switches and a sleep timer, all packed into an easy to use handheld device.
Remote controls are also easy to install as only 2 parts are involved in its use: a receiver and the controller itself. When installing, simply set the DIP switches on the receiver and controller, connect the plugs on the receiver to the fan and hanger bracket, and place the receiver into the fan’s canopy. Full instructions for installing your receiver can be found on the product pages in the shop. Make sure you don’t use the original lighting pull cord as this could damage the receiver when pulled.  Overall, remote controls complete your ceiling fan experience as they are easy to use, convenient, portable, small and present many useful features.
